ATV EXS-5SK E-Drum Set

ATV is a lesser known brand within the electronic drums, but in terms of quality it is not inferior to brands such as Roland or Efnote.

The ATV ESX-5SK is the next step in the ESX series and distinguishes itself with larger cymbals and toms from the EXS-3. The ATV EXS-5SK is also very stylishly designed with its acoustic design.

Hihat with optical sensor

A common problem with electronic drum sets is the detection of the hi-hat. Nuances are not always reproduced accurately, and the playing feel remains different than with an acoustic drum set.

ATV has developed an innovative solution for this: their hihats are equipped with an optical sensor. This technology provides a super detailed display, making the playing experience identical to that of an acoustic hihat.

xD3 Sound module

The ATV EXS-5SK features the xD3 sound module, which is known for its highly realistic drum sounds. With a silver finish and a user-friendly interface, the module is intuitive and quick to operate.

The xD3 drum module offers drum samples of kits from various music genres. ATV focuses almost exclusively on acoustic drum sounds, so you don't get unnecessary sounds that you don't actually use in practice.

Electronic drumming with an acoustic feel

The ATV EXS-5SK distinguishes itself with larger toms and cymbals. This kit is therefore really designed for the drummer who wants to get as close as possible to the feeling of an acoustic drum kit. Also the acoustic design is almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

The kit consists of an aD-K18 kick drum , aD-S13 snare drum , two 10″ toms, a 13″ floor tom and four cymbals (14″ hihat, 2 x 14″ crash and a 16″ floor tom).

The hi-hat and cymbals are fully playable all around, so they can rotate just like acoustic cymbals.

Differences between the ATV kits in the EXS series

The ATV EXS series has 4 different models. All models have the same silver xD3 module.

The ATV EXS-3 is the basic ATV model and also has a version with an extra crash (ATV EXS-3CY). The ATV EXS-5 has larger cymbals and toms and also comes in an acoustic design (ATV EXS-5SK).
