ATV EXS-3 E-Drum Set

ATV is a lesser known brand within the electronic drums, but in terms of quality it is not inferior to brands such as Roland or Efnote. The ATV EXS-3 is a full-fledged and stylish electronic drum set, which is the entry-level model within the EXS series.

Hihat with optical sensor

One of the biggest pain points of electronic drums is the detection of the hi-hat. Certain nuances are not always reproduced well and the feeling is never as “real” as with an acoustic drum set.

ATV has come up with a solution for this, they use an optical sensor in their kits. This ensures a very fast and accurate response, giving you a playing experience that comes close to an acoustic hi-hat.

xD3 Sound module

The ATV EXS-3 is equipped with the xD3 sound module, which uses very realistic sounds. The module has a silver finish and is very easy to operate.

The xD3 drum module provides realistic drum samples from kits from various genres. ATV modules offer almost exclusively acoustic drum sounds, so no redundant sounds that will never be used.

10-inch mesh heads and advanced triggering

The ATV EXS-3's snare and toms are 10 inches in size, providing a large playing surface. The hi-hat and cymbals are fully playable, so they can rotate just like acoustic cymbals.

The set consists of a 10-inch snare, two 10-inch toms, a 10-inch floor tom, a 12-inch hi-hat, a 12-inch crash and a 14-inch ride.

Differences between the ATV kits in the EXS series

The ATV EXS series has 4 different models. All models have the same silver xD3 module.

The ATV EXS-3 is the basic model of ATV and also has a version with an extra crash (ATV EXS-3CY). The ATV EXS-5 has larger cymbals and also comes in an acoustic design (ATV EXS-5SK).
