Millenium MPS-1000,
Millenium is a German company and producer of (electronic) drum sets and accessories. In the digital drum area they mainly focus on beginning and semi-experienced drummers.
With the MPS-1000, which was released in September 2021, Millenium distinguishes itself from their lower-priced kits such as the Millenium MPS-150X and MPS-450 . This kit really goes a step further in all areas.
The sleek design, number of sounds (820) and Bluetooth function sound promising.

Drum pads and cymbals
The drum kit comes with three toms of 10, 12 and 14 inches, a 13-inch snare drum and a 20-inch bass drum . Due to the large bass drum, the overall kit takes up a bit more space than you would expect.
The cymbals are two 15-inch crash pads , an 18-inch ride pad and a hihat pad . The cymbals are fully playable and look professional.
As you would have expected, the cymbals have a choke function, which means that you can mute the cymbals by gripping them with your hand.
All toms and the snare are also dual-zone, allowing you to generate different sounds with both the mesh head and the rim. This allows for cross stick playing.
Hi-hat and kick
Because the hihat is mounted on a hihat stand , drumming feels more realistic compared to budget kits. The pads move open and close well, but the real nuance that you feel with an acoustic kit is missing.
The kick pedal is nothing special but fine to start with.

The Millenium MPS-1000 comes with 3 cymbal stands and a double tom holder.
Since 2023, Millenium has expanded the range by adding two sleek designs to the line.
Do you prefer the Natural or Pearl White design? Then the setup is slightly different and you receive 2 floor toms and 1 tom. Watch below:
Optionally, you can mount the top tom of the Pearl White or Natural on a snare stand , which makes it easier to position the tom.
MPS-1000 Drum Module
The MPS-1000 module stands out for its faders on the left side, which allow you to quickly adjust the volume of individual pads, as well as its clear 3.2″ color display .
A characteristic of kits in recent years is the Bluetooth functionality, which allows you to easily connect your smartphone or tablet so that you can play along with your favorite music.
The Millenium MPS-1000 also has this, which is ideal for playing along with your favorite music wirelessly.
With 820 sounds , 40 preset kits and 40 user kits you won't get bored quickly and you can go in any direction, although the standard kit (number 1) is the most popular.
Extra tom or cymbal
Thanks to the additional input on the back of the module, it is possible to expand the Millenium MPS-1000 with an extra tom or cymbal

As mentioned, the drum kit takes up quite a bit of space, which is mainly due to the kick drum and the hardware.

Conclusion
The Millenium MPS-1000 is an electronic drum kit with attention to details and design. The acoustic appearance is a big plus and with the 3 designs it offers a favorite color for everyone.
Looking at the specifications, you really receive a professional high-end kit with everyting you need for less than 1000 euros. Apart from a drum stool and headphones, all is included.
In terms of quality and performance, the kit cannot match kits from a higher price segment (Efnote, GEWA, Roland) and you will really notice the differences. But those kits are also twice as expensive.
