Fazley DDK-040
Fazley shows with the DDK-040 that an electronic drum kit can be affordable. For less than €300 you get a complete set with a kick drum, snare, three toms and three cymbals.
Electronic drum kit for beginners
The Fazley DDK-040 is ideal for children and young adults, and is comparable to kits such as the Millennium MPS-150X and the Roland TD-02KV.
If you want to start playing drums as an adult, then the Fazley DDK-080 or DDK-120 perhaps more suitable.
Compact kit
The pads of the Fazley DDK-040 are compact, measuring only 6″. This makes the playing surface somewhat smaller, but the kit will also take up less space. Ideal for children's rooms or apartments!
Thanks to the mesh heads, the kit produces little noise, so you can play drums for hours without disturbing others. The kick drum produces a little more sound, but still much less than an acoustic drum kit.
The cymbals have a choke function, which means that they are muted when you pick them up (just like real cymbals).
Easy-to-use drum module
The drum module of the Fazley DDK-040, which is similar to the module of the Millenium HD-120, is easy to use and offers all the basic functions you need as a novice drummer.
There are 12 standard kits available, ranging from jazz to metal and from percussion to funk.
Unfortunately it is not possible to put together your own kits. If you would like this, check out the Fazley DDK-080.
Differences Fazley DDK-020, DDK-040, DDK-080 and DDK-120
There are a number of differences between the four basic Fazley models:
Bass drum | Pads | Cymbals | Expand | |
DDK-020 | Trigger | 6” | 9” | No |
DDK-040 | Kick | 6” | 10” | No |
DDK-080 | Trigger | 8” | 10” | Yes |
DDK-120 | Kick | 10” | 12” | Yes |
The DDK-020 and DDK-040 cannot be expanded with additional toms or cymbals. The pads are the same size (6″), but the DDK-040 has a kick pedal that makes drumming feel more realistic.
The DDK-080 and DDK-120 can be expanded with an extra tom and extra crash. The toms and cymbals are also larger, giving you more playing freedom. The DDK-120 also has a kick pedal.
