The drummer looking for an electronic drum kit with many functions and an attractive price cannot ignore theAlesis Nitro Max . Logical, because it is simply a very good kit with all the possibilities a starting drummer needs.
Besides the Alesis Nitro Max, there are several other kits on the market that are similar in price and features. The closest in my opinion is the Millenium MPS-450, a highly underrated drum kit in my opinion that offers much more than the popular Alesis Nitro Max.
In this comparison, we'll put both kits side by side and show you why I think you're better off choosing the Millenium MPS-450.
What are the differences?
The Alesis Nitro Max and the Millenium MPS-450 have many similarities (same number of pads, a large 10″ snare, hihat trigger pedal, a real kick pedal and many sounds). The kits are also about the same size.
There are also a few differences. For example, the Alesis Nitro Max has integrated Bluetooth, the MPS-450 does not. In addition, the Alesis Nitro Max has a smartphone holder on top of the module, which makes it easy to play along with drum lessons.
Another (important) difference is the stability of the kit. I tested both kits and came to the conclusion that the MPS-450 is much more stable and sturdier while playing. With the Nitro Max this is different: the light rack is not sturdy enough for the weight of the snare. Also read: Alesis Nitro Max: Improve stability with this tip

Millenium MPS-450 E-Drum Set€419.00
As you can see, both kits have a lot of similarities, but in my opinion there is 1 factor that makes the Millenium MPS-450 better than the Alesis Nitro Max, and that is the sturdiness and stability of the kit.
Where the MPS-450 is made of quality materials and is stationary during play, the Nitro max is unstable and moves when you play on it. This simply makes the MPS-450 feel much better and more reliable.
The only disadvantage is that the MPS-450 does not have Bluetooth by itself. However, this is very easy to solve. Do you want to know how? Then read How to Receive Bluetooth on Any Electronic Drum Kit: Step-by-Step Explanation.
Now that you know what my recommendation is, I will explain both kits in more detail so you can make the right choice.
Alesis Nitro Max
TheAlesis Nitro Max is an electronic drum kit that is specially designed for beginners and has gained a lot of popularity in a short time. This kit is known for its good price-quality ratio. However, complaints quickly surfaced on the internet about the kit not always remaining stable during playing. Alesis has improved this with the Alesis Nitro Pro .
The mesh heads on the toms and snare make drumming feel more realistic and produce less noise pollution. The snare has a diameter of 10 inches, which I personally found a big plus while playing.
The Alesis Nitro Max comes with a module that contains 440 drum sounds. There are 32 preset kits available, but you also have the possibility to create 16 of your own kits. In addition, the module has integrated Bluetooth, so you can easily play along with your favorite music.

Millenium MPS-450
The Millenium MPS-450 can be seen as a smaller version of the Millenium MPS-850 . This kit has a full-fledged 10″ snare and three 8″ pads. Thanks to the steel rack with extra horizontal bar, the kit remains super stable in place.
The kit has a real kick pedal that is also suitable for double bass. The kick pad is made of mesh, just like the rest of the pads. Mesh heads play more comfortable/realistic and are quieter for the environment. The 10″ snare is also a positive feature of the kit.
The MPS-450 comes with a module that has several functions and enough sounds to create your own kits to your liking.

Conclusion
Both the Alesis Nitro Max and the Millenium MPS-450 are good electronic drum kits. However, when comparing the two kits, the Alesis Nitro Max is a big disappointment when it comes to build quality and stability. The MPS-450 is better supported by the steel tubing and the extra horizontal bar.
The advantage of the Alesis Nitro Max is the availability of Bluetooth, but as I already indicated, that is easy to install with a simple method. The MPS-450 also lacks a smartphone holder, but that is not a reason for me to choose the Alesis Nitro Max.
It may be a less popular kit, but Millenium has proven that with the MPS-450 they are head and shoulders above the Alesis Nitro Max.
