Roland TD-316 V-Drum Kit
The compact Roland TD-316 V-Drum Kit was released at the end of 2025 and can be seen as the improved version of the Roland TD-17KV2. This electronic drum kit with the updated V31 module has everything you would expect from a kit in this price range.
At the heart of the Roland TD-316, the V31 module contains many realistic drum sounds developed in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW). The large color display and EZ Edit buttons make it quick and easy to adjust sounds, so you can create the perfect sound in no time.
On the back of the module there is room for 1 extra cymbal and 1 extra tom, should you want more playing freedom.
Always connected thanks to USB, MIDI, WiFi and Bluetooth
This kit easily connects to your computer with a USB-C cable or uses MIDI in your music software. The module also features Wi-Fi, a feature Roland is truly ahead of other brands. You can easily control the module with Roland's V-Drums app. Of course, the module also features Bluetooth, allowing you to play music wirelessly.
Next level pads and cymbals
The Roland TD-316 stands out from the crowd with the brand new PD-12P snare pad. TD-313. This 12" snare drum with a chrome rim has a premium look and responds exactly like an acoustic snare drum. Inside, it contains three piezo sensors that register your hits with pinpoint accuracy, and the mesh head provides a natural response.
The PDX-12 snare pad is familiar from previous models, but the PD-8H and PD-10H tom pads have been redeveloped and offer an even more realistic drumming experience.
The Roland TD-316 comes with the KD-1o kick pad that we also saw on the Roland TD-07KV. This kick pad feels realistic (just like an acoustic drum kit) and produces minimal ambient noise. Double bass is also possible.
Differences between TD-313 and TD-316
The Roland TD-316 is a full-fledged electronic drum kit suitable for the experienced drummer. If you'd like to save on the price, check out the Roland TD-313 V-Drum Kit. This one features a hi-hat with a trigger pedal, a slightly different snare drum model, and one less cymbal.
