The Roland VAD316 V-Drum Kit was released at the end of 2025 and can be seen as the improved version of the Roland VAD307. This electronic drum kit with the updated V31 module has everything you'd expect from a kit in this price range and looks fantastic too.

Updated Roland V31 module with 1000+ sounds

At the heart of the Roland VAD316, the V31 module contains many realistic drum sounds developed in collaboration with Drum Workshop (DW). The large color display and EZ Edit buttons make it quick and easy to adjust sounds, so you can create the perfect sound in no time.

On the back of the module there is room for 1 extra cymbal and 1 extra tom, should you want more playing freedom.

Always connected thanks to USB, MIDI, WiFi and Bluetooth

This kit easily connects to your computer with a USB-C cable or uses MIDI in your music software. The module also features Wi-Fi, a feature Roland is truly ahead of other brands. You can easily control the module with Roland's V-Drums app. Of course, the module also features Bluetooth, allowing you to play music wirelessly.

Next level pads and cymbals

The Roland VAD316 comes with the PDA120LS-BK snare pad, known from the previous model Roland VAD103. This The snare drum has a shallow wooden shell and looks like a real acoustic snare drum, but more compact. It has two zones, so the head and rim react independently.

The VH-10 12" hi-hat pad feels natural when playing open or closed and responds well to your foot. The CY-16R-T 16" ride has three zones (edge, center, and bell) and can be muted with your hand just like a real cymbal. The CY-12C-T and CY-14R-T crash cymbals are thinner and more responsive than previous models and can also be muted by hand.

Also available in regular design

The AD in VAD stands for "Acoustic Design." If this is less important to you and you'd prefer a more compact kit, I recommend you take a look at the Roland TD-313 and TD-316.
