Yamaha DTX6K5-M E-Drum Set

Yamaha has added a brand new electronic drum kit to the DTX6 line in early 2025: the Yamaha DTX6K5-M. This kit is the perfect choice for advanced drummers who want to get the most out of their drum kit.

Renewed mesh heads from REMO

We already knew the kits in the DTX6K series in 3 models: The DTX6K-X, DTX6K2-x and DTX6K3-x, also increasing in properties in that order. This series had the well-known pads with TCS structure. These are not mesh heads, but a silicone layer with small air bubbles that absorb the strokes of the stick seamlessly.

The DTX6K5-M is different; this kit does not have the TCS heads, but mesh heads specially developed by REMO (known for their high-quality drumheads for acoustic drums). REMO previously worked together with the Chinese NUX and developed the innovative mesh heads with these NUX DM-7X.

Full 12″ Snare and large 10″ toms

The new XP120L-M snare pad has a size of 12″, which makes the hitting surface larger and more comfortable than the snare of the DTX6K-3. The toms are also considerably larger (10 inches) and therefore much more comfortable to play than the toms of its predecessor (7 inches).

Reliable RS6 rack and KP90 kick pad

What has remained the same on the Yamaha DTX6K5-M is the RS6 drum rack and the KP90 kick pad, which are known to remain stable and sturdy during playing, but are also suitable for double bass.

Renewed DTX-PRO module

In addition to the above improvements, the DTX-PRO module received a 2.0 upgrade, including 30 new preset kits, as well as a wide range of sounds and effects. This gives the module the same look but an even better playing experience.

Direct Touch App

The module has a relatively small screen, which is why Yamaha developed the Yamaha Direct Touch app, which allows you to create your own sound in no time.
