Alesis Launches the Strata Club: The New Compact Drum Kit

alesis strata club

Alesis has launched a nice kit for electronic drum enthusiasts in April 2025: the Alesis Strata Club. This new drum kit is compact, but has many features that you normally only see in more expensive sets.

Curious about what the Strata Club has to offer? Read on!

Compact version of the Strata Core

The first thing that stands out about the Strata Club is its size. The kit fits easily into smaller spaces, such as a bedroom or loft studio. Yet the kit doesn’t feel “small” when you play it, mainly because of the large 12” snare, the real hi-hat and the 14” ride cymbal.

The Alesis Strata Club is basically the same kit as the previously released Alesis Strata Core , but with one less cymbal and tom.

With 2 toms and 2 cymbals, the kit is comparable to the Roland VAD103 and VAD504 , as well as acoustic-looking kits like the Efnote 7 , ATV aDrums Artist , and the Zildjian Alchem-E Gold .

High-end module

The module has also remained the same as the Strata Core. And that's a good thing, because this high-end module is very intuitive and has a 7-inch touchscreen, with which you can easily set everything. For example, you can choose from hundreds of drum sounds, from acoustic kits to electronic sounds. With the included software you can optionally get sounds from your computer and put them on the module.

Who is the Alesis Strata Club suitable for?

Where the Strata Core and Strata Prime were aimed at the professional drummer, the Strata Club is also suitable for drummers who have less experience due to its budget. Thanks to the expansion possibilities, the kit can grow with your level.

The Alesis Strata Club is considerably smaller than the Strata Core (the fully assembled kit will measure approximately 40" wide, 36" deep and 51" high), making the kit suitable for drummers looking to fit the kit into a smaller space.

How much does the Alesis Strata Club cost?

For €1,599 (recommended retail price) you get a very complete set that can easily compete with more expensive models. Later this year the Expansion Pack will be released, which will be available for €349 and contains an extra tom + cymbal.

When you purchase the Strata Club you also receive a 90-day Drumeo subscription , which is useful if you want to learn to play the drums or improve yourself.

Conclusion: No surprises, but the perfect solution

To be honest, I didn't see the arrival of the Strata Club coming. The Strata Core is already quite "basic" compared to the Strata Prime, and those who want an even simpler kit can go for the Alesis Nitro Pro.

Still, it is positive that there is now an intermediate model between the Nitro Pro and the Strata Core, so that drummers who do not have space or a lower budget can still buy a good quality e-drum kit.
